As Brazil's greatest living musician, Gilberto has produced a body of work that it's hard to wrap one's mind around.  With a recorded catalog of over 60 years of studio albums and an almost countless number of amazing compositions, Joao Gilberto has truly earned the nickname "O Mito" (The Legend) in his native Brazil.

With his signature soft singing style and minimalist guitar work, Joao Gilberto creates a highly accesible form of music that defies category.  Call it bossa-nova, latin-jazz, brazilian jazz, or whatever pleases you.  We'll just call it good music!
