Vibraphonist Terry Gibbs is a true force of nature. A consumate entertainer, Gibb's staggering 60+ leader recordings tell only half the tale of an artist comfortable in small groups, big-bands, and on television and the big screen.
Terry Gibb's career began in the 40's, playing in the Tommy Dorsey, Buddy Rich, Woody Herman and Benny Goodman Orchestras. Inevitably, he struck out on his own, working in television (most famously with Steve Allen) and leading his own "Dream Band." Throughout his career, Gibbs has been known for his clever wit, and for his hard-driving, virtuousic playing.
