Charlie Parker
We can't think of a better way to celebrate America's birthday, than with one of it's greatist artistic innovators!
Charlie Parker is undoubtedly one of the most monumental figures in Jazz history. He was a revoluntionary, one of the key players to usher in the be-bop era. An athletic player, he changed everything with his complex harmonic abilities and his ability to play hard and driving, or subtle and bluesy.
When he passed away he left behind some of the most beloved compositions in Jazz. We'll be taking a listen to them all week long on KMHD!
