Elvin Jones

Easily one of the most important drummers in Jazz, Elvin Jones played a major role in influencing the trajectory of hard bop, avant-garde, and post bop styles.

Most recognized for his time spent playing with the John Coltrane quartet, Jones was an adept percussionist who possessed a dynamic sense of rhythm.  His unique hard-driving, free-flowing style made him a favorite amongst fans and fellow musicians alike.
