With fall finally hitting us, so does our anticipation for the Portland Jazz Festival to embrace us this winter. Over 60 events spread out across over 30 venues throughout Portland is one of the bright spots of the season and the upcoming line-up looks rather promising, particularly with Erykah Badu headlining The Moda on February 21st. With folks like pianist Vijay Iyer, percussionist Terri Lyne Carrington and bassist Christian McBride rolling through town, February 20th-March 1st is definitely worth putting on your calendar.
