Donate your vehicle

Help keep jazz playing on KMHD by donating a vehicle you no longer need. KMHD’s vehicle donation program handles the details at no charge to you. We accept cars, trucks, RVs, motorcycles, boats and planes. Learn more about donating your vehicle and arrange a free pickup.

Join Club KMHD

Help KMHD grow and thrive! Join Club KMHD — a community of people connected by their enthusiasm for great jazz and supporting KMHD’s mission with contributions of $1,000 or more annually. Support jazz on KMHD with a single gift, an ongoing monthly Rhythm Section contribution, a transfer of stock/securities, a direct rollover from an IRA, or with a recommendation from a donor-advised fund.

Leave KMHD in your will

Give from a Donor-Advised Fund

Support amazing jazz on KMHD with a contribution from your DAF. Direct a distribution to KMHD at 7140 S Macadam Ave., Portland, OR 97219. Please let us know whom to thank by including your name and address with your gift.

Gifts from donor-advised funds are not eligible for tangible benefits.

Donate from your individual retirement account (IRA)

If you are 70 ½ or older you may be able to transfer funds from your IRA to KMHD without paying any federal income tax. Simply direct a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to KMHD, 7140 S Macadam Ave., Portland, OR 97219. Please include your name and address with your gift so we can send you a tax receipt. You can also notify us of your incoming IRA gift directly.

If you are 73 or older, your QCD may also satisfy all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). Talk with your accountant or lawyer to ensure your gift qualifies as a QCD and to find out how QCDs impact your particular tax situation.

Qualified charitable distributions from IRAs are not eligible for tangible benefits.

Give stock

Help ensure jazz thrives on KMHD by making a gift of appreciated securities and you may be able to receive an immediate tax deduction and savings on capital gains taxes.

Ask your employer to match your gift

Make your contribution to KMHD go even further at no cost to you. The company you work for, or are retired from, may match your gift dollar for dollar or more. Find your company’s matching gift program here, or ask your human resources office. Apply for a matching gift online, or fill out a matching gift form and mail it to: KMHD Membership, 7140 S Macadam Ave., Portland, OR 97219.

Contribute through your employer’s giving program

Support KMHD through your company’s workplace giving program. Your employer may even match your gift. Ask your human resources office how to get started.

Make a memorial or tribute gift

Remember or honor someone with your gift to KMHD. Contribute online and indicate in the comment section that this gift is in honor or memory of someone. Please share the person’s name, and whom KMHD should notify of your gift.
